How to Measure Your Toes
1. Put clear tape on your toenail
Make sure it’s smooth with no wrinkles.
2. Mark the width
Use a pen to mark the left and right sides of your nail at the widest point.
3. Mark the length
While the tape is still on your toe, mark:
the cuticle line
the tip of your natural nail
4. Peel the tape off and lay it flat
5. Measure in millimeters
Use a ruler to measure:
Width: between the left and right marks
Length: between the cuticle and tip marks
Write down both numbers.
Match Your Measurements to the Size Chart
After you measure your toenail width in millimeters, look at the size chart and find the size with the same mm measurement.
Example:
15 mm = Size 3
14 mm = Size 4
12 mm = Size 6
The mm width is what decides your size, the number is just the label.
If the Length Doesn’t Match Perfectly
You can file the free edge down.
Filing will shorten the nail art
So choosing a size that fits your width and is as close to your length as possible helps keep more of the design.
Some people can size down some sizes to keep more nail art. sizing down can:
keep more nail art
reduce filing
look more natural
It depends on your nail shape — the width still needs to fit comfortably. and sizing down can leave gaps and make it easy for the nail to pop off.
